After School Program

OWLS NEST - After School Program

Enrichment Programming - Through a combination of micro-lessons and supplementary activities, the Owl's Nest provides a chance for students to dive even deeper into a broad selection of creative projects.

Most days will include a short presentation and project instructions. When finished with homework, students will have a choice to join in a group project or design their own.

Participation in the thematic work is optional if another constructive activity of the student's choice is approved, as passion projects are always encouraged and assisted if it remains a productive alternative to the thematic programming.

Once a new skill or activity is learned and a student is passionate about it, they may keep doing it as long they want, during school and even the rest of their lives.

Physical Activity and Play - Play is an integral part of child development.  The Owl's Nest always fosters imaginative and creative activities.  Everyday includes at least 30 minutes of outside physical play, or the time and space to just relax and be themselves.

Homework and Tutoring - After daily free-choice play time, every child will work on homework, engage in silent reading or some work constructively.  Assistance with homework will be available.  Once finished with homework, they may jump right into a personal or thematic project.
