Week 5: Going Green (July 19th - July 23rd)

“Its Not Easy Being Green”  -  Kermit the Frog

It takes a lot of thought and consideration to Go Green.  This workshop is designed to teach children about the Earth through experiences with it in order to help create a love and respect for her.  If children have the opportunity to develop a passion for the Earth and learn the values of how to care for her at an early age, they will be in a much better position to help sustain the environment in which they live.

Through this week children will learn about the Earth and how she works, share the experiences of what products, materials and energy they use and learn more about what they can do to help recycle and conserve her resources.

Week 6: The Amazing Race (July 26th - July 30th)

Summerkids6.jpgDuring Amazing Race Week, the children will participate in an off-campus Scavenger Hunt. We will take them to parks and museums. Each day they will team up with a camp counselor in small teams and be given a set of clues to follow. It will be exciting to watch this session unfold! In addition to their “scavenger hunt”, the children will do a variety of races… Potato Sack Races, Obstacle Courses, Spoon & Egg Races! The best part is…. Everyone Wins!!!
